McKinley, Inc. was appointed Receiver of this 52,000 sf mixed-use center outside of Indianapolis, IN. Since its appointment McKinley has remedied an environmental issue, successfully appealed the property taxes, worked with the local authorities to permit enhanced tenant signage, leased up several vacant suites and worked through significant tenant delinquencies. McKinley has acted as Receiver in multiple states throughout its twenty-state platform and performed numerous workouts for lender-owned and REO properties.

McKinley achieved 100% pre-leasing, creating an asset value that triples the construction cost for this 42,000 sf in-fill development in Norfolk, VA. Prominent national tenants at this development include Qdoba Mexican Grill and Panera Bread. JANAF Bravo is an outlot development to JANAF Shopping Yard, a 1 million sf regional power shopping center that is currently 98% leased.

Charlestowne Mall

McKinley was hired by a special servicer for the loan to perform asset management, leasing and property management for the 850,000 sf Charlestowne Mall. McKinley immediately undertook an aggressive cost-cutting strategy that resulted in over $1.5 million in annual savings, as well as implemented a new leasing strategy, resulting in over $10,000,000 of value creation. McKinley has been retained by the new owner to design and implement a multimillion dollar redevelopment and repositioning plan.

Michigan Heart and Vascular Institute

McKinley has proudly provided property management, asset management, and construction services for two owner-occupied, Class A medical office buildings, Michigan Heart and Vascular Institute and Michigan Orthopedic Center. Both buildings are located on the St. Joseph Hospital campus in suburban Ann Arbor.

Meridian Marketplace

McKinley represented a west coast buyer in the purchase of this 40,000 sf Midwest asset on a tax-free exchange. McKinley identified the property and closed on the acquisition of the property within the constraints of the 1031 tax exchange timeframe; leased the shopping center to 100% occupancy; procured permanent, long-term financing; and performed property management services.

Construction Management

Chelsea Clocktower

In 2002, McKinley embarked on a five-year, $10 million renovation to Chelsea Clocktower, a Michigan historic landmark. Completion of the project coincided with a celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the Clocktower in 2007. The Clocktower has become the new central gathering point in downtown Chelsea.
